UltimateBet $200,000-Guaranteed Event Has Biggest Night Ever
PokerStars Sunday Million
The PokerStars Sunday Million had 7,104 entrants last night, generating a prize pool of $1,420,800. That is the largest attendance the $200 buy-in version of the event has had in quite some time. The Sunday Million had 6,680 entrants on Dec. 23 (the last time the $200 buy-in version was held, last weekend had a buy-in of $1,000), making a prize pool of $1,336,000.
PokerStars is hosting the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, which started this weekend, and it had sent many notable online players to the Caribbean through its online qualifiers. That didn’t stop most of them from playing in the Sunday Million, however, as Jason “mkind0516” Laso proved. Laso was sitting playing in the Sunday Million in one of the common areas at the Atlantis Casino, where the PCA is being held, and a crowd grew when he made the final table of the event. He eventually finished in a very respectable fifth place, earning $42,624.
The final two players remaining were mister cc and giorango. The two arranged a deal with mister cc in the chip lead. Mister cc then lost ground and eventually went out as runner-up ($148,000 with the deal), and giorango pocketed $153,210 after earning the extra money left on the table for the winner.
The final results were:
1. giorango — $153,210*
2. mister cc — $148,000*
3. nieezz — $71,040
4. hanes1971 — $56,832
5. Jason “mkind0516” Laso — $42,624
6. diegoscotti1 — $31,258
7. Gnuhunter — $22,022
8. abel127 — $12,787
9. pocktnizzles — $8,383
* Payout reflects a two-way deal made at the final table.

Chris “FeedMEMunE” Kline, a player who had finished in second place in this event on May 27, 2007, found himself heads up versus bad biznass.
