$13,000 World Series of Poker Packages Up for Grabs
Doyle BrunsonTwo-time World Series of Poker champion Doyle Brunson knows all about playing in the main event, since he’s been doing it for more than two decades, and his poker site, DoylesRoom, is giving players a chance to play in the richest poker tournament in the world by offering $13,000 prize packages.
The packages include the $10,000 buy-in and $3,000 for travel and accommodation. In addition, winners will get DoylesRoom swag, a breakfast strategy session with Brunson himself, and an autographed two-volume leatherbound set of Super/System and Super System II.
On Saturdays, the site will host a $1,300 buy-in bi-weekly final, and one in 10 players will win a WSOP package. Players start with 5,000 in starting chips and have 15-minute levels. These finals will run twice a day at 3 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. ET on the following dates: April 12, April 26, May 10, May 24, June 7, and June 21.
Players can get into the bi-weekly finals through satellites on one of two paths. Path A and Path B both have $130 buy-in weekly satellites. Path A's weekly satellite runs at 10:15 p.m. ET every Friday. To qualify for that tournament for less, a player can win a $14 sit-and-go that runs around the clock wherein the winner advances. Players can also place high enough in the daily $9 rebuy tournaments that start at 9 p.m. ET and 1 a.m. ET or place high enough in the daily $20 rebuy tournaments that play at 8 p.m. ET and 11:30 p.m. ET. Path B also has $130 buy-in weekly satellites but starts at 3:20 p.m. ET every Friday. To get into the weekly satellite, players can compete in a $14 sit-and go tournament, play the daily $9 rebuy turbos at 7:45 p.m. and 5:20 p.m., or place high enough in the daily $20 buy-in rebuys at 12:30 p.m. ET and 4:50 p.m. ET.
