I need a hand!!!! I am pretty sure my computer has a bug. Every time I use excel everything gets highlighted and I can't use my mouse at all!!! I also was having problems with internet explorer The mouse would go crazy and it would shut down and a task manager window would pop up. Ran adware, spyware, and anti-virus scan but it picked up nothing
Any help will be appreciated!!!!

Try uninstalling Excel and reinstalling it. If this doesn't work, and If it's part of OFFICE, try uninstalling the whole thing and reinstalling it. What Anti-Virus are you using?
I hope you're really not running spyware...

J -
I like a spyware remover called -- spybot.com
It is freeware and does a nice job of pulling out some of the hidden garbage.

Here's a procedure I go through on a regular basis that might help. Log in to the internet, Click "Tools", Click "Internet Options", Click "Delete Cookies" ... Then Click "Delete Files" and you'll see "Delete all files in the Temporary Internet Files...., Click "OK" ... Make sure you have all your passwords written down as you'll have to re-enter them after this. gl, J.C.

the only thing left that i can think of is to make sure your anti-virus definitions are up to date. i've had a similar issue and it turned out to be a worm that was a mother to get rid of.
good luck
