Regarding the Tuesday night PPZ tournament...Should we place a password protector on the Tournament to restrict entry to non PPZ Members?

I see it was viewed 6 times and yet no one voted, so I guess I'll be the first to do so ;D
It's easy to over look it up there though. I voted yes just because of the reason's that where given my Burke.

First off I want to tell Randy, Tom and Burke that I think they have done a wonderful job. The website is first class and Burke did an awesome job talking to people about this league. I love the Matrix intro and you can tell there was alot of thought and work put into it.
But right now I am split on this topic. I like the idea of playing only league players but I feel that until we have enough to fill over 2 tables we should leave it open. That way we can introduce the league to other players giving the opportunity to see what a league is like and a chance to join. Last Tuesday at my table non-league players were asking what PPZ was and what you can win. I don't know if any joined but I informed them about the league and some of them were considering joining. I think right now we need more members and closing league will slow our growth. Do we want to grow into a large league in 3 or 4 months, with more and larger prizes or a year from now. I would love to come in on Tuesday night and sign up with 70 to 100 other league players, but right now I think we need growth.

I completely agree with TBone...However, there was a non-league member who apparently was abusive...This we won' t tolerate. I must listen to all league members and then pass that by Tom, and Burke to determine what is best for the league. We will be having password protection on the private tourney starting this Tuesday.
What I would like is to get all active members to commit to recruiting 3 new members each. PPZ will track each new member, and if that member signs up for any of the approved poker sites through our website we will give 5% commission for the first member, 10% for the second and 15% for the third plus...I think this is a fair proposition.
Recruitment is essential to this league's success. I think we can all agree with that. That being said, it is important that we all undertake some resposibility for this task. TripleB333 has been almost solely responsible for the recruitment of the league thus far. As such, Tom and I made an executive decision to bring him on as staff. Clearly, neither Tom or I saw any other way to reward him for his superior efforts that that! Besides, Triple is a dear friend and he desperately wanted to be a big part of this league...and now he is!
It is important that each of us undertake a recruitment effort to some degree in order to make this one of the most sought after leagues in the industry. I will work my butt off to make this league run like clockwork, but as one man, I can only spread myself so thin.
Over the next few weeks, I'd like to ask each member to try to recruit at least 3 new members. On my end, I will be doing some solid advertising. Both Tom and I are considering visiting some local colleges and attempt to recruit from those institutions. I also intend on doing some mass emailing using a poker database of names who are already familiar with poker. This should prove to be fruitful.
Our number 1 priority at this juncture MUST BE recruitment. Please help us help you! If there is anything that we can do to assist you in the marketing, please let me know. Simply give them our website addy, and we'll go from there.
In the meantime, please keep in mind that this league is BRAND NEW...It's fun and it's cutting edge. However small our league is, what we lack in numbers, we more than make up for it in the quality of players. I am very proud to be a part of this league, and more than that, I consider many of you to be amongst my closest friends.
This is OUR league...It's not mine...or Tom's...or Burkes...It's all of ours. It will become what WE make it as a LEAGUE. Certainly I am the holder of the key, and I accept that responsibility, and I take it very seriously, too! However, I am just a small part...just another member like you all and I need all of you to take an active interest in the growth and development of the league.
Please contact me if there is anything that I can do to help you out.
All In,
Randy C -

I like what Tbone said and I do agree with him, but since we are having two open tournaments on Sunday then I think it's fair to have the password in place on Tuesday's. Did Randy say that Burke was desperate? Also it's hard to recruit players who don't already have every poker software online already. The only poker players that I know are playing online right now.

Get creative, and use that brain of yours Adam...If I told you that (hypothetically speaking) there would be $1000 for each new member you signed up...How long do you think it would take you? LOL! Come on, jump on board and commit to 3 new members. Let's not think of a thousand reasons why you cannot recruit...Let's look at the 5000 reasons why it CAN happen. Are you with me??? Adam...the little engine that could...I think I can...I think I can...I can do this...I CAN DO THIS!!!! Goooooo Adam! All In, Randy C - .... .... .... ;D.... Choo...Choooo!

Maybe my girlfriend can setup a behavioral plan for you? She's really good at helping those who can't help themselves

No need for you to go out of your way. Dude I don't know anyone who plays poker who isn't already affiliated with our poker site. It's not a matter of me going out of my way, it's a simple fact that everyone I know in real life who plays poker is already playing.
