Gavin Griffin signs with Poker Royalty
By Sarah Polson
Poker Royalty scored another poker pro this week with Gavin Griffin signing on to use the agency for his management and marketing representation.
"I am delighted to move forward with Poker Royalty in my corner," Gavin Griffin said. "Their extensive resources, expertise, leadership and relationships in the gaming industry will help me achieve my long-term career goals."
Griffin, 26, is a professional poker player who has been skyrocketing to the top of the poker ranks in the last few years.
He first gained some attention in 2004 when he won a World Series of Poker bracelet in the $3,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em event. Since then, Griffin also added a European Poker Tour win and a World Poker Tour win to make him the first and only player so far to have a win in all three major tours.
His tournament career has also lead to more than $4 million in tournament cashes. He finished eighth overall on the 2007 Money List, and he currently tops the All-Time Money List of the European Poker Tour where he has $2.4 million in winnings.
"Gavin has been a consistently strong player during his short career, and it's great that he is finally getting recognized for his accomplishments," said Chris Porter, Poker Royalty director of sales and marketing.
"Anytime somebody has a WPT title, EPT title, and a WSOP bracelet by the age of 26, that player deserves some serious recognition. We are delighted to work with Gavin and support his ambitions as he begins an exciting new phase of his professional career."
Griffin joins a list of Poker Royalty clients that includes Patrik Antonius, Bill Edler, Greg Raymer, Gus Hansen, Phil Hellmuth, Gavin Smith, Antonio Esfandiari, Johnny Chan, Cyndy Violette, Scotty Nguyen and more.
